Hydro Excavation

Hydro Excavation

Hydro excavation is a safe way to dig, which is non-destructive and non-mechanic. We frequently use hydro excavation for:

• Potholing
• Remote Locations
• Asphalt / Concrete Removal
• Utility Disposal
• Trenching
• Piling holes
• Horizontal Drilling
• Drill-shaft Cutting

For a safe, precise, cost-effective and environmentally friendly method of excavation, Hill Services offers complete Hydro-Excavation Services, a process that utilizes pressurized water to break up and remove soils. Hydro excavation can uncover fiber optic cables, petroleum pipelines, natural gas pipelines, water utilities, telephone lines, and other subsurface equipment. This method of digging can be done with precision and when excavating in the vicinity of underground utilities is a much faster method. Debris and materials are collected using vacuum equipment, maintaining a nearly dust-free operation.

Safety Benefits

SAFETY is the number one benefit to hydro excavation. Under ground strikes can be catastrophic and the damage can be very costly. The combination of pressurized water and air vacuum provides the most efficient and safe way to dig in highly sensitive areas.

Hydro Excavation replaces the need for backhoes or other conventional digging equipment. This technology is the safest option when working near service lines or any other sensitive excavation work.

Our hydro excavation units are totally self contained and will hold over 1,000-gallons of supply water and over 3,000-gallons of debris. With this water supply capacity, we can operate in remote locations or on any construction projects where water is not always readily available. The large debris tank capacity allows for us to dig in tight areas and transport the waste to another location.
