Leadership and Administration
	(SHE) Safety, Health and Environmental policies endorsed by top management. Policies are followed through as actions on sites where work is performed.
	Line managers and safety staff are professionally qualified and maintain a high level of performance.
	All legal requirements are clearly understood by company management.
	Constantly maintains an employee discipline program that addresses safety, health and environmental issues.

Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Training
	Provides training necessary to ensure that all management, supervision and payroll are competent to perform their responsibilities.
	Provides (SHE) policy, organization and arrangements.
	Operates using safe systems of work, including the use of personal protective equipment, work permits, transport and use of hazardous materials.
	Trained for (SHE) emergency procedures.
	Provides training for hazardous tasks and issues certificates of competence where appropriate.
	Maintain an up-to-date record of employee training.
	Training for all recruits and those transferred to different sites.

Planned Inspections
	Established procedures for the systematic inspection of the work site.
	Comply with statutory requirements for inspection, examination and notification.
	Integrated system for employees to report unsafe acts or conditions and concerns.

Task Analysis and Procedures
	Systematically identify and analyze high hazard jobs.
	High hazard jobs are written and reviewed with employees before site work begins to minimize risks.
	Track evidence of safe systems being used to deal with hazards such as those associated with: confined spaces, heavy lifts, excavations, work at height, work over water.
	Have policies and procedures to deal with hazardous substances.

Accidental/Incident Investigation and Analysis
	Use a system for recording, reporting and investigating all accidents, incidents or near misses.
	(SHE) investigations include the involvement of competent independent staff
	Accidents and incidents are reported quickly to the proper authority.
	Carry out statistical analysis of all accidents and incidents.
	Maintain an acceptable industry Safety Performance Record year after year.

Task Observations
	Has formal arrangements for four job observations.
	Employees understand their roles in emergencies and are competent to discharge these roles.
	Have formal arrangements for dealing with emergencies such as: excavation collapse, fire, explosion, toxic release, fall from height, or electrocution.

Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Organization
	Employees recognize (SHE) responsibilities of line management.
	(SHE) staff with clearly defined roles and reporting relationships which provide them with sufficient authority to ensure that the company's (SHE) policy is implemented.
	Employees are trained to provide first aid and CPR.

Organizational Rules
	Staff fully complies with defined (SHE) rules and regulations.
	Company provides suitable arrangements to communicate (SHE) rules.
	Company enforces (SHE) rules and regulations.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
	Company provides (PPE) for its employees such as: safety footwear, helmets, overalls, eye protection, hearing protection, hand protection.
	Enforces effective arrangements for the storage and maintenance of (PPE)
